Step by step
- Check the email log. Go to Settings → Logs and open the Email tab. Every attempt is listed with its delivery status and the reason for any failure.
- Check the on/off switches. Go to Settings → Notifications and review which emails your store sends. If order confirmation is off, nothing goes out.
- Check the order has an email. Guest orders often have only a phone number. There is no address to send to, so nothing appears in the log.
- Send a test. Use the Send Test button on the Notifications page. It tells you precisely what is wrong rather than leaving you guessing.
An empty email log usually is not a fault. If your orders are guest Cash on Delivery orders with no email address, there is genuinely nothing to send. Asking for an email at checkout is optional but lets you send order updates.
Common questions
My email log is completely empty.
Either no email-triggering event has happened yet, your notification toggles are off, or your orders have no customer email address on them.
Emails go to spam. What can I do?
Use your own domain for sending and complete the sender verification steps in Settings → Email. Mail sent from a free address is far more likely to be filtered.
Can I stop one specific email?
Yes. Settings → Notifications → "Which emails your store sends" → toggle off the one you do not want.
