Writing descriptions is the slowest part of adding a catalogue. This turns it into typing a product name and checking the result.
Step by step
- Get a free Gemini key. Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey, sign in with a Google account and create an API key. Google offers a free tier — no card needed to start.
- Save the key in your dashboard. In the sidebar go to AI Tools → AI Chat Settings, set Provider to Gemini, paste the key and Save.
- Open any product. Go to Products and open or create a product. Find the AI Assistant card on the form.
- Describe the product. Type the product name, and attach a photo if you have one. The more specific the name, the better the draft.
- Auto-fill. Click Auto-fill with AI. It writes the description, specifications, tags, SEO title and meta description, and alt text for each image.
- Read it before saving. Always check the result. It writes well but it does not know your stock, your warranty terms or your prices. Correct anything wrong, then Save.
Why the SEO part matters
The SEO title and meta description are what Google shows when your product appears in search results. Most merchants leave them blank, which means Google writes something generic instead. Letting the AI draft them takes seconds and is one of the few free ways to get found.
Common questions
Is the AI free?
The feature is included in your plan. The AI key is your own — Google Gemini has a free tier that is enough for normal use. You are not billed by us for it.
Why does it say I need to set up AI?
No key is saved on your store yet. Go to AI Tools → AI Chat Settings, choose Gemini as the provider, and paste a key from aistudio.google.com/apikey.
Can it write in Urdu?
Yes. Choose the output language in the AI Assistant panel before generating.
