How to add a product to your online store

Updated September 2026 · TijarahOnline Help

Short answer: go to Products → New Product, fill in the Product Name, pick a Category, enter the Price and Stock Qty, click Auto next to SKU, add at least one photo, make sure Status is Active, and press Save. Everything else on that form is optional and can be added later.

The product form looks long, but most of it is optional. Only four things stop you from saving: a name, a category, a price, and a SKU. Ignore the rest until your first product is live.

Step by step

  1. Open the products page. In the left sidebar, click Products. Then click the New Product button at the top right.
  2. Name the product. Type the Product Name exactly as a customer would say it — for example "Romoss 30000mAh Power Bank", not "item 4".
  3. Pick a category. Choose a Category from the dropdown. If yours is not there, use the + New Category link inside the same dropdown.
  4. Enter price and stock. Put the selling price in Price (PKR) and how many you have in Stock Qty. Stock 0 means the product shows as out of stock.
  5. Generate the SKU. Click the Auto button next to SKU. This is just an internal code so you can tell products apart — customers never see it.
  6. Add photos. Drag up to 8 images into the image box. Drag them to reorder, and click the star on one to make it the main photo. Daylight photos on a plain background work best.
  7. Check the status. In Settings, make sure Status is Active. Draft and Archived are both hidden from customers.
  8. Save. Press Save. Open your store link and the product should be there straight away.

Fields worth adding later

Once the product is live, reopening it unlocks a few things that genuinely help sales:

Faster than typing: if you have many products, use Bulk Upload (the purple button on the Products page) to add them from a spreadsheet, or use Draft with AI to write the description, specs and SEO for you. See adding many products at once.

Common questions

Why can't I save my product?

The "Can't save yet" message names the exact missing field. It is almost always a missing category, a price of 0, or an empty SKU — click the Auto button beside SKU to fill it. You may also have hit your plan's product limit; the Free plan allows 10 products.

Do I need photos to save a product?

No. Images are not required to save. But a product with no photo very rarely sells, so add at least one before you share your store.

How many products can I add on the free plan?

Ten. Beyond that you either archive products you are not selling or move to a paid plan. There is no commission on your sales on any plan.

What is the difference between a variant and a specification?

A variant is something the customer chooses and buys — size Medium, colour Red — and each one has its own stock and price. A specification is just information, like Warranty: 1 Year. Use variants only when the options are genuinely different items.
